About the Department

Department of Civil Engineering has one UG Program (BE-Civil(2010)) and a PG program (ME-Construction Engineering and Management(2014)). Our team of faculty provides the right academic atmosphere for the students to get developed into complete Civil Engineers with aptitude for research. Students are moulded to the requirements of the industry through industry based curriculum, internships, extramural activities, Project Based Learning, outside class hours learning, Skill centric learning and Mini Projects. Quality of students and their achievements in curricular and co-curricular activities have branded our department as a leading Centre.

Strength of Materials Laboratory

Well-equipped laboratory with Universal Testing Machine, Impact Testing Machine, Torsion Testing Machine, and various material testing equipment for concrete, steel, and other construction materials.

Surveying Laboratory

Complete surveying instruments including Theodolites, Total Stations, Dumpy Levels, Plane Tables, Chain and Tape, GPS equipment for modern surveying practices and mapping techniques.

Soil Mechanics Laboratory

Comprehensive soil testing facility with Standard Proctor Test apparatus, Direct Shear Test equipment, Triaxial Test machine, Consolidation apparatus, and soil classification instruments.

Fluid Mechanics Laboratory

Advanced fluid mechanics lab with Hydraulic Bench, Flow measurement apparatus, Pump performance test setup, Pipe friction experiments, and various flow visualization equipment.

Concrete & Highway Engineering Laboratory

Modern concrete testing facility with Compression Testing Machine, Concrete mixer, Slump cone test apparatus, Highway material testing equipment, and aggregate quality testing instruments.
