K. C. Karuppanan is a seasoned politician from AIADMK representing the Bhavani constituency in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, serving multiple terms since 2001. Appointed as the Environment and Pollution Control Minister under Chief Minister Jayalalithaa (2016–2021), he earned a reputation as a calm, humble public servant closely connected with his constituents.
